Our History
United Engineering Resources, Inc. (UER) is a renowned and trusted engineering firm with a rich history spanning several decades. The UER Family of Companies has been serving the construction industry for over 55 years. Originally founded in 1995, MatriScope was incorporated as MatriScope Engineering Resources, Inc in 2003 by UER. MatriScope was joined by Signet Testing Labs (Signet) in 2014. Signet, headquartered in Hayward, CA, has been a leader in the materials engineering and testing industry since 1966. Winning their first major San Francisco/Bay Area project in 1980 at the Moscone Convention Center, Signet began a major expansion campaign in the 1990’s through the strategic acquisition of a number of industry partners including United Inspection & Testing, Terratech Geotechnical, and Geomatics. After a few more acquisitions throughout the nineties, UER finally acquired Signet in 2014.
